Decades on the front lines of dance music.
I’ve been producing, performing, mixing, and engineering music for over 25 years. My journey started in the ’90s UK Garage scene, where I was producing and engineering for some of the biggest names in the genre. Those early days taught me the importance of groove, low-end balance, and how a track translates in the real world — things I still focus on in every mix and master today.
A few years later, I teamed up with Dominic B., and together we became Stanton Warriors. What started in a small South London studio turned into a career that’s taken us around the world. We’ve released seven albums, had numerous Beatport No.1s, and played everywhere from Coachella and Glastonbury to SXSW, Ultra, and Burning Man. DJ Mag even named us among the “50 Best Remixers of All Time.”
Over the years, we’ve worked with and remixed artists like Fatboy Slim, Missy Elliott, Basement Jaxx, Busta Rhymes, Alex Metric, Ms Dynamite, Big Daddy Kane, and many more — with releases across XL Recordings, Fabric, Southern Fried, Black Butter, Mad Decent, OWSLA (Skrillex’s label), and most recently Chris Lake’s Black Book Records. Disclosure has cited our track “Bring Me Down” as “pretty much the perfect garage beat.”
These days, alongside continuing to make music as an artist and with Stanton Warriors, I spend much of my studio time working as a “finisher” — helping artists bring their projects across the line through additional production, mixing, and mastering. It’s a role that blends creativity and technical detail, helping artists realise the sound they’ve been chasing.
I also run PEAK Producer Training — a platform where I mentor producers on workflow, arrangement, referencing, and mixing. Helping others develop their sound and confidence has become one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
In addition, I’ve produced bespoke music and sound design for clients such as Riot Games, Netflix, Sony, Adidas, Sky, Channel 4, and the BBC, combining a producer’s instinct with an engineer’s precision to deliver projects that hit hard and sound right everywhere.
You can explore my latest projects and collaborations at markyardleymusic.com. With YARDWRK Studio, I bring all of that experience into one place — helping artists create mixes and masters with clarity, punch, and depth that translate from studio monitors to festival sound systems.
Whether it’s underground club music or something more experimental, my goal is simple: to make your music sound its best everywhere it’s played.
