Composing a Sonic Journey:

Elevating the Riot Games LEC Esports Event in Montpellier, France

In the summer of 2023 Mark was entrusted with the extraordinary challenge of crafting the entire soundtrack and being the on-site Musical Director for the League of Legends LEC ‘23 Grand Final opening ceremony held in the 8000 capacity Arena Sud in Montpellier, France.

Representing the meeting point of his passion for hard-hitting music and the exhilarating world of esports and recognised for his ability to blend genres and evoke raw energy, part of Mark’s brief was to remix a previous LEC anthem in a bombastic rock / punk style that would suit the ‘take-over’ of the game’s most popular character Jinx who arrives to blow the roof off the ceremony.

Further to this pivotal moment in the ceremonies narrative, Mark’s aim was to create an auditory journey unmatched in its ability to engage, inspire, and amplify the passion of the LEC Esports community. Drawing on his prolific expertise as a an arena-filling global touring artist, he set to work forging a soundtrack that would resonate with the stadium audience and every online viewer, injecting adrenaline into their senses and leaving an indelible mark on their memories.
